About Me

Bio

Guorui Xiao is a first year Ph.D. student at the Paul G. Allen School of Computer Science & Engineering at the University of Washington, where he will be working under the guidance of Professor Magdalena Balazinska. Prior to this, he completed his Master’s degree in Computer Science at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) where he had the opportunity to work with Professor Carlo Zaniolo on topics related to database and datastream.

Guorui’s research interests include databases, datastreams, ML system, and big data systems. His ultimate aim is to contribute to build usable,scalable, data-intensive systems. He is open to collaborations and insightful discussions, so feel free to reach out to him! :-)
